1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement made between you ("Client" or "User") and DEVLAB ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), established in 2019. By accessing our website at www.devlab.lk or procuring our web design, e-commerce development, AI chatbot, or workflow automation services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Scope of Services

DEVLAB provides professional IT and software engineering services, including custom website development, AI chatbot integration, e-commerce payment gateway setup, and enterprise digital transformation. Specific deliverables, scope, timelines, and fees are defined in individual service packages or custom client proposals.

3. Intellectual Property & Ownership

Upon full payment of all agreed fees, ownership of final website design, custom source code, and assets developed specifically for the Client transfers to the Client. DEVLAB retains ownership of proprietary frameworks, base starter libraries, and pre-existing code used to build the solution.

4. Payment Terms & Invoicing

Payments for web development packages and enterprise contracts are due as outlined in your invoice or proposal. Fixed-price web design packages require full or milestone payments prior to final deployment. Payments processed via credit card or local gateways (PayHere, Visa, Mastercard) are subject to standard transaction processing fees.

5. Client Responsibilities

The Client is responsible for providing timely access to necessary text content, images, brand assets, and third-party credentials (such as domain registrar, payment gateway API keys, or cloud access) required for project completion.

6. Hosting, SSL & Maintenance

Free domain, hosting, and SSL certificates provided under DEVLAB packages apply while the website remains hosted on DEVLAB infrastructure. Technical maintenance covers server security, uptime monitoring, and core updates.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DEVLAB shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from website downtime, third-party service outages (e.g., payment gateways or hosting providers), or data loss caused by unauthorized third-party access.
